ABOUT HKLRA

The Hong Kong Language Research Association has a long history, formerly known as the "Hong Kong Language Education Association" established on January 1, 1993. Since the return of Hong Kong, as an international city, Hong Kong has attracted people from all over the world to visit. In order to meet the needs of various language exchanges and research, the "Hong Kong Language Education Association" officially changed its name to "Hong Kong Language Research Association" on July 1, 1997, which is an earlier non-profit academic society named after "language research " in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Language Research Association is composed of experts in Mandarin, Cantonese, English, French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, German, and Portuguese.The Hong Kong Language Research Association adheres to the development policy of "Based in Hong Kong, Facing the World", and organizes language-related courses and seminars every year. Committed to promoting Hong Kong to become an internationally renowned language research center. The purpose of the association is:

1. To promote the development of language research in Hong Kong;

2. Facilitate exchanges and connections among members in the field of language;

3. Raising the professional level of language researchers;

4. Research mainstream languages and include minor languages;

5. Improve the linguistic theory and methodology system.
